Unless I decide I need a new wrap of coil on the mesh and/or new coil and mesh, I don't take the RSST apart when switching juices.
With the RSST intact I rinse the assembly with hot water (including the inner of the tank) and remove excess water.
To dry things up before adding juice, get the coils glowing red (the same as you do for a new build).

I got this tip from pbusardo. Works great.
    Regards,
    Tom

Great tip! I will remember that for next time. Mine kind of came apart when I was rinsing it. Clumsy fingers early in the morning.

I run a pin over the coil wraps while pulsing to move them just slightly, and when they all start to glow I slow down the pulses and bingo bango she's as hot as a hooker in church. I guess with the Vamo, you gotta build over 1.5ohms.

Just got the RSST as well... My first build, I keep getting the 2 non-coiled parts of the coil (at top of positive and bottom between wick and negative) glowing red and that's it.

After multiple tries fiddling... I can get the red to creep a little bit further onto the coils, but not nearly all the way.

    Ideas on my issue?

You need to adjust the coils while firing the device.

Yeah watch some of Pbusardo's videos on building an Aga or his review of the RSST. It takes time to get the red to glow evenly and you might have to make some (or lots) of adjustments.

It's pretty difficult to get them going perfectly
