I prefer making my own coils and e-juice. I find it both relaxing and challenging, part of the fun of this "hobby". I also make my own beer, but I not about to start a garden or making clothes; not what I would call a hobby.

Still looking for the perfect rebuildable tank atomizer; love the KF V4 but doing TC is challenging sometimes due to the inconsistent ohm. Not a cloud chaser, flavour and ease of building is what I want...

Try the UTA2. It has become my favorite and only tank I use these days. Extremely easy to build even TC and great flavour. And this is coming from someone who almost exclusively used Kayfun's and Taifun's. I posted this a while ago:

For all you Kayfun, Taifun lovers, here is something you want

You can also brew your own beer, grow your own vegetables and make your own cloths. But most people value their time at more than a few cents an hour savings.

So lets be real, it's what you enjoy, and so be it whatever floats your boat. But for the same reason most folks don't brew their own beer, grow their own vegetables and make their own cloths the 2 cents a day it cost for a product made for you vs spending your own time to save cents, its just not worth it for cost savings.
I run three tanks all the time with different juices. Depending on the coils you purchase it can run you $10-25 for five. Stock coils can last anywhere from 2 days to 7 days depending on your vaping. To run my three tanks would cost me anywhere from $15-40 a month compared to ~$0.20-$0.50 a month. Big difference especially when you consider this over a year.
And by the way it takes me about 5min for me to build a coil and get a tank going. For me its a no brainer.

I rarely side with Bob on certain topics but do side with him on this one, it is what ever floats your boat. When we consider some folks were spending $15-40/day smoking, and never bating an eyelash, why has everyone become so cheap.

Back in the day folks were boiling spent cartos to save dollars. I will not sit here denying that cartos (originally intended for a single use) was not terribly cost effective, and refilling them was the way to go (providing you stuck with the same liquid) but, if you could get 3, 5-7 days out of a single $2 carto, why boil the sucker only to get 85% of its performance. I have had atomizers last me up to 14 months, still performing great or at least I thought they did until I put a fresh one i. Ooooooh baby what a difference. Mentholated liquids had a cleansing effect on atomisers.

I did the whole rebuild-able route because of the uncertainty of the industry at the time. I still have all the capabilities to rebuild, simply choose not to any more. Why? I love the simplicity of just changing something out on the fly, hence why we carried spare atties in the day etc...

My time is more valuable than that, for me. Others may choose a different approach, and that is OK too. The greatest savings one can accomplish in this industry is making your own liquid, especially if nothing is out there that meets your needs/demand, that is where the greatest cost savings occur, not on re-building coils IMHO. We have long moved away from that!

And after you have "saved" you pennies a day with your rebuildable, you created a juice sucking monster that drinks $20 "specialty" bottles of e-juice at an oz for oz rate as beer drinking on a Friday night of a long weekend in summer.

    Yes I see the savings.

Personally I liked the people that went to the pet store and bought "fluval" or whatever that fish tank filter material was, to save the cost of replacing cartidges.

Or the emails asking for the "material in the cartridges" when we were selling a 5 pack at a buck a pop. LOL.. Spend the $8 bucks to ship cotton.. LOL

Save the buck the cartridge cost, and re-use an old gummy chewed up thing filled with a fish tank filter pieces LOL.. To each their own, but I was just happen enough and felt downright rich no longer spending the $10.50 on a pack each morning. It like my bank account didn't have a leak. I enjoyed treating myself to the extra new $1 cartridge fresh out of the wrapper.

AND.. AND the kicker was we were already being cheap... The cartridges were originally designed and sold prefilled to be used once. All us cheapskates would refill the cartridges ourselves, but yet people still wanted to take it to the next level... Somewhere someone out there has had to have tried melting down old water bottles they found to form their own cartridges.

You know what they say about assuming Rob? My coils are always between 1.3-1.4ohm and always under 16W, no juice suckers or cloud chasing for me, and I vape about 3-4ml's a day. Also I never pay more than $15 for my juice, usually a lot less since I usually purchase it in 120ml bottles. And I would rather pay $10 a year for my coils than ending up spending over a $100-$200 on stock coils. So yes I save a lot of money and have a great flavourful vape at the same time.

Lurk for the most part. Not much to contribute to the few non-ad posts but it happens.

I lurk mostly. Not much to comment on about these days. I did purchase the UD Bellus tank a few days ago: Nice tank. It is my go to tank now.

I rebuild my coils for the wife and myself including DIY e-juice.

I wonder if FLUVAL will work as the wicking material in my RTA? Can you send me some @Evapers_Rob. LOL those were the days.
    Regards,
    Tom
