My husbands VAMO crapped out after a while too. Considerably longer than just a few days, but only a few short months. Same sort of issue, the menu buttons for up and down were stuck, and it would filter through all options continually while turned on. It was frustrating even for me, to watch him try to make it stop long enough to get a toot.

Sorry about your VAMO. that sucks.

I feel your pain about the v3.. after hearing so many claims that it is an awesome workhorse, I bought one.. and the 510 threading were screwed right out of the box. I could screw on a tank but as soon as I moved it, the tank would lean to one side. I took it back to the vendor and he said "you must have dropped it". It still worked for a bit, but after a month and a half or so it got to the point where most of the 510 devices I would try and screw on would just fall out. Now the only thing I can get to fire on it is an old beat up iclear 30, so it sits in a drawer until I give it a proper burial.

I don't know the Vamo, so I don't know if the problem is the switch on the circuit board, or the button not making correct contact with the board. I remembered seeing a video of a Vamo being taken apart a while back and found it again. Doesn't look hard to do if you feel so inclined and if it's garbage anyway, not much to lose.

Thank you for this video! My Bamboo crapped out a while ago after I dropped it. After watching the video, I took most of it apart, put it back together and, voila, it's working again!

Thanks for sharing that. As of right now, it is still working, but thr question is for how long. If the button stops working all together, I will definitely look into tearing it apart and fixing it.

    Cheers,

    Jake

same thing for me but thats cause i dropped it bunch of times. Just took some pliers and squeezed the 510 connection, now its back to normal.
