Need nicotine to try DYI again but don't know whats good or bad

I need to buy some unflavored nic to start dyi again. I tried it once again but the nic I used was just vile it hurt my throat and had a terrible pepper taste I couldnt get past... I was thinking of getting it from juggies this time around anyone know the quality of theirs or where I can get a good nic here in Canada that doesnt have that pepper taste or a strong throat hit?

In my most humble opinion, there has so much BS discussed in the past by certain individuals wrt 100mg nic and in all honesty it was akin to devices exploding.

It is much safer to use than any out there, why it is easily divisible by 10 e.g you want 36mg = 36ml to 100, 54ml to 100 (54mg), 6mg = 6ml to a 100 ect... I know you may be apprehensive and that is fully understandable.

OTOH lets say you use 50mg, a far better choice than 48. It would look something like this: 36mg = 72ml to 100, can't make 54mg and 6mg = 12ml to a 100 (doubling everything), not really a recommended method. You really want single additions.

    Now lets look @ 48mg, in concentration most folks use. 24mg = 50ml to a 100, 18mg = 37.5ml to a 100, 12mg = 25ml to a 100 and 6mg = 12.5mg to 100, and finally 3mg = 7.25ml to 100.

Well you can say simple enough Then why do folks use 100mg. A. you can buy smaller quantities. B. it allows for greater leg room for ingredients (PG/VG ratios, and flavouring) Lets say for example we bought 36mg (probably the highest available at the time. Someone who vaped 24mg, that represented 66.6% of the mix was either PG or VG based, leaving you with 33.3% for either PG or VG and flavouring. If you wanted 15% flavour, that left you with 18.3% to come up to the proper PG/VG ratio, that you desired. If you were looking for 30% VG (most in the day were after that ratio), you are missing 11.7% of room to accomplish your desired ratio.

OTOH using 100mg, it would only use up 24% of the overall mix, leaving you with 76% to play with for mixing your liquid as you prefer it. What would this look like, if you wanted 15% flavour at a 70/30 PG/VG ratio.
    • For 100mls
    • nic (PG based) 24ml
    • PG 31ml
    • VG 30ml; and
    • flavouring 15ml

Please notice that you input your VG in a PG based nic, 1st and work everything else from there as flavourings are considered flavoured PG for the lack of a better word.

IOW it allows for more wiggle room. It could be argued (it has in the past) there are associated dangers in DIY, if you are not comfortable in doing it properly, then there is always off the shelf liquids. I will leave you to digest this for a while but remain available for further comments.
