YIKES, you are now insulting FASTTECh with that claim
I buy from Fasttech although recently, the past 2-3 months beyond the CAD drop, with what's going on in China, etc, the deals can sometimes be found at home for a fraction more, and no need to wait 8-14 days for shipping (if you pay $2.50 epacket-far longer if you dont).....I get suck a kick out of Canvapes page for i can tell looking at their products that they are buying from the same places Fasttech are but for a lot more money.
I picked up a few RBA + decks from FT this week but they were considerably more, with Canvape
I may not be an early adopter through FT but i usually get the better gear.
I made a mistake last month and purchased the new Sigelei 75TC device herein Toronto which I got sooner than the 20-day wait for stock at FT but i paid about $40 more and in the end I got a V1 edition of the Sigelei 76 TC which angered me. I won't mention the vape store, it wasn't Canvape, but one more expensive and more highly thought of, and i would have thought by now at least they would have stocked the V2 or even the V3 version, although that's just a slight upgrade form V2. Its a great device but there have been a few problems with some of them, all V1 editions. I would have expected at full price to have got the updated version, not the same version that everyone was dumping for $59 US 6 weeks ago.
I had long cleared off using Vape stores and now only buy online. i had a weak moment but won't do it again.
Buying from these stores are great if you have only one device and you need something quick.
Fortunately i have about 5 great devices, Sigelei's, all with great attys on top that i rebuild and wick myself, and then half a dozen mechs, with their own attys as well so when I do need something, I can easily afford to wait 8-14 days and order in from China so already not impressed with many Vape stores i have encountered in Toronto, hearing stores like the this, at first i want to say, typical vape store BUT in this one case, you cant blame the store. They do need to make their share of the funds and they make less as Randoname has fairly pointed out.
I use PayPal on FT all the time. Only with a few companies, Aspire being one, that i don't happen to use anyhow, wont allow products to be purchased by PayPal but there are ways around it. Using your PayPal you just buy a gift certificate in the amount of the 'aspire" product you need. Or, you order something paying for it by PayPal and 30 minutes later, cancel the order, and have your funds put into a gift certificate, rather than back into your account.....and voila, you buy whatever you wish.
ETA: Why Innokin went to Evolv for their electronics vice their own country. They got tired of their own mfrs doing what they wanted to do vice doing what the customer wanted from them. A very funny thing to see China now outsourcing to the US, Innokin is only one distributor.

Factory Seconds? Perhaps here or there on one or two but I am a rebuilder with about 8 devices, all with the latest attys, that I enjoy, not the ones i don't fully wrapped and juiced and i don't have any problems with ONE item. I have learned from experience, at least for myself, never to buy clones when it comes to attys or mods. The odd Mech Mod I will do so but rarely.
Not a moral issue but I just have personally found that no clone rumoured to be 100% as the original, or even better has turned out that way for me. There is always one tiny flaw that might seem minor but can make all the difference between enjoying it and fiddling with it all the time so i don't buy those for myself. At the very least even the best clones need their screws switched with stainless steel versions.
BUT....As for Seconds? No, I have purchased and rebuilt too much to know that is not the case. What I will concede to is that the quality control in China is poor at best. A busy site such as FT will have problematic gear but it's not seconds, it's just a numbers game. When you sell thousands of products with the poor type of quality control that does exist in China, problems will happen.
I don't know if you are a store owner but I have heard many remarks slagging FT by people who lose business to it but i can honestly say that i consider it a great site and I have purchased 92 items since March and none have been problematic but one, a clone mod but they offered to exchange it without any problems.
I recently was going to buy the Sigelei 75 TC mod. FT offered it for just above 1/2 the price I would pay here at a well known very highly thought of Vape store in Toronto and Richmond Hill. I didnt want to wait the 20 days for the order to come in so I bought it at home against my better judgement. Sigelei 75 TC has 3 versions out. V1, V2 and now V3.
I received the V1 edition from this particular VAPE store 2 weeks ago at full price over $100. I could have bought V3 at FT which is now shipping out a week later. V1 has had some issues with buttons not firing well, a problem, slight, but that i too have encountered. I had a problem 15 days in that appeared at first as if the Mod was toast. I went to the store and even with a receipt, at full pop, etc, they were not going to do diddly squat. Id have to send it to Sigelei and hope they fixed it. At Fasttech, I would have shown them a video of it not working and sent it back to them and they would have sent me out a new one right away. There is no protection here in stores yet there is at FT. I bought 2 iStick 50s one day that both misfired a month later and died......I bought a 3rd which still works perfectly. I was basically told tough luck. In that one instance, someone just happened to be there returning a used one so i was given that. That was it but it does still work. I went into the same store to buy a Pioneer device which was great but I was told it was crap and to buy the Heatvape invader instead. Found out a few days later I was sold the V1 edition, which crapped out on everyone, while others were sold the V2...I guess he figured correctly that i did not know the difference, at the time......That died 2 weeks later and i was basically told tough, again. But the owner was vaping on the V2 one, the good one, of course and he traded it for me although it was used and had been for some time. It works in V/W but lousy in TC. He was using it to drip on so who knows what it was put through.Sigelei has 3 Versions of this Mod
V1 has both holes for side plate in the middle on both sides and magnets towards the outside
V2 has the hole and the magnet on the Sigelei plate side reversed on the bottom of the unit ( Why those cover plates would not fit my V1 unit )
V3 has no holes and uses 4 magnets on each side.
Minor Software update between V2 and V3. V3 just addressed some very minor niggles.
I work at a desk. I have about 7 fully charged and fully juiced mods all in front of me and go back and forth between all of them. EVERYTHING listed was purchased at FT and works perfectly, except for 2 Delta 2s I bought at the same store, the Heatvape and Sigelei 75TC. The point being, that I paid full price for what would be considered "seconds" at this highly respected vape store but would have got the updated non second version for half the price at FT....I await 3 new TC devices being shipped to me now and i dont expect any problems with them either.
Sigelei100+/Lemo 2...Sigelei150w+GoliathV2.....Sigelei 75TC/Subtank Mini on Ni200...Heatvape InvaderMini/Lemo 2...KangerBox/Goliath V1...4 various Mechs with Delta2/GoblinMini/SubtankMini/ and a couple more repeats of Lemo 2, GoliathV1,,RDAs/Delta 2 and NONE have caused me any problems at all!!! None of these are seconds!
Sorry, I just don't like to see FT slagged for I have had MORE problems, buying inferior products at top dollar with NO recourse at vape stores.... I will tae FT over all of the any day of the week. IF any of them honestly offered one month warranty on items, I would buy at home but I have had nothing but problematic gear at Toronto's various vape stores
I wont even mention the one "popular" vape store that sold me fake Nautilus coils and I believe a fake Nautilus Mini.....they were extremely popular but suddenly closed down about one month ago...i suspect money issues and perhaps staff pilfering, etc but neither here nor there for i have not yet run across one store that will stand behind their goods yet FT will.

The same experience just happened to me.
I offered to pay more to cover all of their fees, to cover the cost so that they would receive the correct amount that the order costs after ALL of their fees that skrill charges.
All of their prices on their website are in CAD. This is the only payment method that they require that you pay in USD.
But to expect 1/3 extra... just because? That's totally unfair.

The great thing that FT does is have an excellent review and discussion board for every item they sell. When new items come out and they have a certain issue FT will discontinue the item and wait for a new version that fixes the problem. They take care of any issues without questions and that pretty amazing when they are selling 10,000+ products and dealing with people around the world. I don't believe they are seconds either. I don't buy to often from them, I don't mind paying a little extra if I can buy locally and get the item right away, but what I have bought has been great quality but then I always red the item reviews and discussion thread. They do sell a lot of clones but if it is stated that its a Kanger coil then it really is a Kanger coil. I think people like to knock them because its from China but they do have great product and surprisingly excellent customer service.

It has become a bit more difficult to buy from them lately, these past 2 months due to all of the Pre-Order nonsense that seems to be prevalent in the industry all of a sudden.
But I know from buying and waiting, that the day I hear of an item being sold at the stores here, then it arrives at FT and is sent out.
I buy everything by e-packet for $2.50 so it arrives at my door anywhere from between 8-14 days which I can live with.
But the one positive about that is that often on the Pre-orders, it seems that the stores are getting the "V1" editions and by the time it arrives at FT, you get the V2.
I have seen this hapen almost every time as of late.
But a couple of times i have passed on the wait and bought here at home and regretted it.
For example, I purchased the Sigelei 75 TC device for $105 at Dash Vapes downtown and it was the dreaded V1 edition with the 4 holes on the side of the door. 3 on the middle and one on the bottom.
Had I waited an extra few days, for about $25 less I would have got the V2 or V3 edition which is improved.
The V1 edition has a problem with a not so stable TC.
You can be vaping, at lets say, 390 degrees and 0.17 ohms on Ni200. I wrap mine to make them 0.17 but within about 10 minutes, you lose a bit of taste. I have learned every 5 minutes to quickly press the lower - button and then the power button to reset the ohms as Ni200 Nickel bounces. As long as i do that every 5-10 minutes, it keeps the best flavour.
That wasnt taking place on the V2 and V3 editions.
There were also quite a number of V1s that were sold in the US for $59 earlier and a lot of little quirks with it. I ran across a few people who had one that died within 3 weeks.
I have the iPV 3 Li, the D2, Heatvape Invader Mini but the Sigelei is the funky one BUT i still do love it and use it but have just learned how to best deal with it.
So I am not keen on paying top dollar for a device, when 1-2 weeks later I can get it for 2/3 the price if not a bit less and generally be assured that I get a newer "version"
I agree with you in that they have the best customer service. I would always check the board there for the news on any item for generally most regulars there are great rebuilders, great modders and they know how to look at an item and guess beforehand what the flaws are going to be and what they are within minutes of vaping with them.
Generally I have learned to go with the general feeling of the board and learn what to buy and what not to buy and it was long assumed that despite Sigeleis excellent products, that the 75TC was going to be iffy

As for Canvape, I have ordered from them a couple of times and not had any problem with the cost, always paid in Canadian dollars, was never overpriced, etc so I am unfamiliar with the complaints people here have about it.
I only ordered through CanVape ONCE...and I SWORE to NEVER AGAIN!!
Now I only order with Dashvape...cheaper prices I've found and they have AWESOME customer service!
