It was a sad day in Vapeland, but as I was getting in the truck after picking up some product for the store, I attached my Russian to the Vamo, and the threads gave out. It's been a good 2 months Vamo, but you're getting replaced.

I managed to force the Russian on, snug up the ring, and it still connects, but the connection is tenuous at best. So, I did a little research and pulled the trigger on the SVD last night. Should have it soon, and the Vamo can be relegated to being used for it's ego threads. 510 won't work on it very well anymore.

So...a word of warning, if you're anything like me and you change your toppers out on the regular, the Vamo will let you down.

It is an el-cheapo device for sure. Mine is V5 and the connector now wiggles back and forth a little, so I am cautious with it. It also seems to have got scrunched down, and now all atties fit flush on the 510 ring, which is fine if they have airflow above it.

For $30, it serves well enough, though.

Wow that's not a long time. If the 510 threading is more important you could afix a 510 to 510 adapter - just get it in there good and leave it. Better luck with the SVD hopefully.

Rotten luck. I have the Grand Vapor trident clone and just snapped one of the posts off when the young lad knocked it over.. Guess mothers day is officially cursed...

That little unit is a great idea, but the aesthetics would be horrible. I sell eGo's in my store, with a few requests for bigger and better units starting to slowly trickle in. Having a Frankenvape wouldn't look good to potential customers.

After a few hours of searching through the webs, I was able to locate & import those Ego-to-Ego/510 adapters.

Okay, I know I am thick but ... Looking at one of my Vamo V2, I don't see how this adapter connects to it ???

Ego to Ego/510

Instead of using the 510 inner threads for a connection, this adapter fits over the 510/Ego fitting using the eGo outer threading for connection. Now that the adapter is connected, you have a brand new eGo/510 connector to use with your tanks.

The trade-off is merely aesthetics, since the new adapter will increase height by 1/2 inch.
