CBD oil plus essential oils..a bit of a rant..

So I'm starting my research on CBD oils for Louis. He has some anxiety issues - mostly related to travel and cars. While this is admittedly also a learning problem (we have contained it as much as possible with counter conditioning), at the heart of is is the need for new pathways in its brain. If the CBD drops help him experience the alternative chiller universe - it might be helpful. Anyway, imagine my surprise when I saw this product on the shelves of my health food store. This is a CBD oil marketed in pets by the health food industry giant "Garden of Life". Essential oils are added to the CBD-lavender, frankincense and orange peel oil... I really hate these "inactive ingredients". I am the end of a 5-year journey of an advanced" degree " in herbal medicine. The "degree" is relative, as there is no actual oversight of the herbalist designation in the US. So even though I've been studying this intensively at a real herbalist school for years, anyone can buy a book (or not even buy one) and claim to be an herbalist. Hence the insane amount of absolutely horrifying false information available online-especially with essential oils. Just to put it on display. Essential oils are NOT natural-at all! Your body is by no means equipped to cope with the onslaught of molecules in unnatural proportions, as is the case with super-concentrated essences. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. Some essential oils require a truckload of raw materials (and this is not a poetic figure of speech). This applies even more to animals - especially cats and small dogs, which lack proper channels for the excretion of such concentrated substances. Why on earth Garden of Life adds essential oils in undefined amounts to a CBD product is beyond me. I know they wanted terpenes to increase the effectiveness of CBD, but why wouldn't they disclose the amount and research behind it, or use food-grade terpenes? Your dog may very well react negatively to orange peel oil, incense resin, and lavender. I'm pretty sure this product will disappear from the shelves as quickly as it appeared... I hope that it is not too often that dogs must first suffer seizures, and in the meantime die a terrible death..

This is a complete nonsense, an unjustified experiment. I wouldn't give this to my dog.

I totally agree that it's not worth giving to your dog. It is not known what the side effect may be from this. I also agree that CBD oil has an excellent effect on both dogs and humans. Six months ago my dog injured his paws and I read articles and reviews on https://moderndogmagazine.com/articles/best-cbd-oil-dogs/132222 I decided to start giving my dog CBD oil. I did this to ease her pain and speed up her healing. It actually helped. After a while, I stopped doing it. Now my dog feels great. So, if you need more information about CBD oil, then you can find everything on the above website.
